The nominees are all incredibly talented and strong, so there’s going to be plenty of suspense before the winners are announced. It’s worth mentioning that the criteria at the iGB Affiliate Awards can be fluid, changing and updating based on the industry’s requirements. For instance, the criteria will apply to the last 12 months, evaluating momentum rather than size. The number of awards in the categories has decreased from 32 to 24.

As for nominations and voting, it will happen similarly to the way it was in the previous years, although the actual process of voting has been dropped. A nominations board will be used for this year’s event, taking full advantage of the objective data on the participants, as well as the experts’ knowledge of the industry in order to come up with a short list of no more than seven candidates.

The judging, as it was already mentioned, will be focused on the criteria over the last 12 months, with points awarded for specific aspects in order to drive transparency and accountability. This year there will be more judges and also a head judge for each category responsible for making the final decision together with the fellow judges. The head judge might get involved in case of a tie. A Q&A session with each shortlisted candidate will be held and recorded, later available for you to view.
