LONDON AFFILIATE CONFERENCE 2018
The 2018 London Affiliate Conference is expected to exceed last year’s numbers with over 5,000 delegates, 3,000 affiliates and 1,500 exhibitors. James Woods, Head of Performance Marketing at Bet365, stated that the previous event, LAC 2017, was sure to surpass everyone’s expectations. According to Mr. Woods the event was organized perfectly by the iGB team and offered solid new business opportunities to everyone attending. He said that if he was given the choice of attending just one event this year, he would certainly choose to attend London Affiliate Conference, no doubt in his mind.
The conference starts on February 8 and ends on February 10 (ExCel, London). This is what the conference has to bring to the table this year:
The London Affiliate Conference is one of the most significant events for iGaming affiliates. As such it always offers numerous lucrative opportunities to both affiliates and gambling operators in terms of enhancing their knowledge, sharing what they already know and learning what will make their businesses even more successful. This event usually involves fruitful collaboration and innovative solutions worked out in the process. It’s a chance for everyone involved in the industry to connect on a whole new level while feeling relaxed and enjoying the atmosphere.
Tailored conference content: the conference is built around the needs and expectations of the participants. Everyone is promised most engaging sessions tailored to their interests and needs, also featuring top-drawer speaker lineup not to be missed.
Active networking: the entire conference is built around networking. This event is seen by many as an opportunity to meet someone new and exchange experience, which in this business is as invaluable as in any other. No matter if you’re attending one of the networking parties or are just enjoying a drink at the hotel, there will be a lot of useful and interesting people to meet.
Free entry to the iGB Affiliate Awards: the industry’s most reputable affiliate award ceremony is back in 2018. Everyone attending the London affiliate conference or FPE London will have free entry to the ceremony.
Exhibitors and Sponsors working overtime: to keep those attending interested and excited, the conference exhibitors and sponsors bring you most famous sports stars, show competitions and even dance battles. Visiting stands has never been so fun.
IGB AFFILIATE AWARDS
The iGB Affiliate Awards has become a regular event occurring simultaneously with the London Affiliate Conference, on the day before it ends.
Nominations in all 7 categories and subcategories have already been published and are as follows:
Best Website for – Poker, Casino, Sports Betting, Bingo, Lottery and Finance
Best Affiliate Manager for – Poker, Casino, Sports Betting, Bingo, Lottery and Finance
Best Affiliate Program for – Poker, Casino, Sports Betting, Bingo, Lottery and Finance
Best Newcomer for – Affiliate Program and Affiliate
Best Non-English for – Affiliate Program and Affiliate Website
Best Use of Social Media by an Affiliate
The nominees are all incredibly talented and strong, so there’s going to be plenty of suspense before the winners are announced. It’s worth mentioning that the criteria at the iGB Affiliate Awards can be fluid, changing and updating based on the industry’s requirements. For instance, the criteria will apply to the last 12 months, evaluating momentum rather than size. The number of awards in the categories has decreased from 32 to 24.
As for nominations and voting, it will happen similarly to the way it was in the previous years, although the actual process of voting has been dropped. A nominations board will be used for this year’s event, taking full advantage of the objective data on the participants, as well as the experts’ knowledge of the industry in order to come up with a short list of no more than seven candidates.
The judging, as it was already mentioned, will be focused on the criteria over the last 12 months, with points awarded for specific aspects in order to drive transparency and accountability. This year there will be more judges and also a head judge for each category responsible for making the final decision together with the fellow judges. The head judge might get involved in case of a tie. A Q&A session with each shortlisted candidate will be held and recorded, later available for you to view. A document will be created for each award, clearly defining the reasons why that specific winner was selected. Those looking for extra special experience should consider booking VIP tables for the award ceremony. VIP tables are close to the stage and include alcohol served.
